Straws -- Glass, Seven Vibrant Colors!
Practicality: This glass straw is available in 8" standard length in seven colors: aquamarine, blue, green, amber, purple, jade and pink. Glass straws get a good clean in the sanitizing heat of your dishwasher. You can also get an extra thorough clean by using an agave fiber straw cleaner. It is extremely unlikely that our straws will ever break, but if one does (under NORMAL straw-like use), we will replace it for free. These straws do NOT break if you drop them on the floor, even if you are standing on the counter. They WILL break if you drive over them with your car.
Changes To Your Routine: The main challenge with reusable straws is that you have to remember to bring your straw with you. The best way to make this happen is to commit to ZERO plastic straws, EVER. Then when you forget them, everyone can drink out of their cups without lids, which is messy and unpleasant while you are driving 70 mph on the interstate. A few times of that and you will remember to get them into the car with you somehow!
What It's Made Of: Borosilicate glass, which can withstand temperatures below freezing and up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit! You’ll even find this stuff in the windows of the space shuttle! It’s also the same glass used in Pyrex®. (That's why we feel totally confident about our policy to replace any straws that break). Unlike plastic, glass isn’t a porous material so it won’t leach into your mouth or drinks.
Disposal: Your beautiful glass straw will probably outlive you, but if you need to dispose of it, glass is endlessly recyclable.
Why You Should Use It: Have you been living under a rock?! But seriously, single-use plastic straws are not recyclable, and if they are mixed in with your other plastics they "contaminate the recycle stream" which will cause it all to get tossed to the landfill. Many locations have already banned plastic straws or reduced their use, so get prepared now and come armed with your stylish and earth-friendly glass straw.
Available in four colors.
